Claire G. Rivard

Claire Rivard, 88, of Berlin, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at her home. Claire was born in Berlin on October 26, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Edward and Alphonsine (Litalien) Gilbert.

Claire grew up and spent most of her life in Berlin. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1956. Claire worked for the James River Company as an electrical instrument coordinator for many years. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and daily lunches at the Yokohama. Claire was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, previously St. Joseph’s Church.

Claire is survived by her husband George St. Amant of Berlin; her daughter Linda Marie Rivard of Berlin; her grandchildren Daniel Rivard and his wife Kyanna of Bristol, NH, Andrew Rivard of Berlin, and Matt Rivard of Berlin; and three great-grandchildren Ella, Weston, and Adley. She was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Rivard, and by her son, Richard Rivard.

Per Claire’s request, there will be no services. She will be interred in St. Kieran Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes of Berlin & Gorham, NH. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
