Christopher Joseph Lynch, 38, suddenly passed away on July 31, 2024. He was born in Berlin on December 18, 1985, and was named for his paternal grandfather. He was the son of Diane Bunnell and Keith Lynch.
Chris learned the craft of painting from his father and was a master painter for several residential and commercial painting companies. His attention to detail always came through on his work projects. He also worked for several restaurants as a cook and server. Chris was gifted with the knowledge and love of nature, animals, and wildlife. He volunteered for the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) to learn and help with wild birds (the above photo features Chris with two wild birds that needed care). He was a skillful artist, loved fishing, music, cooking, and the games of chess and pool. He had an unwavering view of life that was always positive and profound. Chris deeply loved his family and friends and has touched countless lives with his smile, humor, and compassion for humanity. He always had the goal of helping others. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Family includes his mother, Diane Bunnell; his sisters Kelly Otis, Katie, Jennifer, and Rebecca Lynch, and Georgia Poulin; maternal grandparents Cecile and Robert Morrissette and Dorothy Johnson; his nephew Panagiotis “Yioti” Giannos; a niece Arora Lynch; his aunts and uncles Bruce and Nicole Bunnell, Donna and Michael Hanley, Michael and Camilla Bunnell, and Kyle Lynch; several cousins, with whom he shared a unique and cherished bond; and his companion, Khloe Lamontagne. He was predeceased by his father Keith Lynch; his brother Ian C. Lynch; cousin Nathaniel O. Stringfield; paternal grandparents Christopher and Evelyn Lynch; maternal grandfathers Karmine Bunnell and Milton Labbe; uncle Kerry Lynch, and aunt Kimberly Barton.
A memorial service will be held privately at a date to be set in the future.
