Charles E. Pfohl, III

Berlin, NH

Charles Edward Pfohl III passed suddenly on June 24, 2025 at his home in Berlin, NH at the age of 75. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles E. Pfohl II and Annabel Pfohl. Chuck, as he was called, was born and lived in Syracuse, New York until he joined the Army and made a career of it. Retired Army 1st  Sgt., combat decorated Vietnam medic. Before retirement he worked in San Antonio Texas at Fort Sam Houston, then worked as an IRS agent in Austin Texas. He lived in Guadalupe County Texas until his move in 2003 to Berlin ,New Hampshire, and has resided there since. Though he lived in New Hampshire, he always considered Texas as his home.

Chuck was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW in Berlin, New Hampshire. He was a lifetime donor to the ASPCA and, according to his best friend, “enjoyed the company of a good dog more than most people”. Chuck loved old movies, especially the old westerns, British comedies, and Agatha Christi’s Poirot mysteries. He also believed that cooking and smoking of meats to be a religious endeavor, according to his best friend.

He leaves behind many friends who will miss him dearly.
