Cecile E. McKenzie, 100, of Berlin, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Cecile was born in Buckfield, ME on March 7, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Gustave A. and Exilia M. (Bolduc) Roberts.

Cecile is survived by her children: Robert McKenzie of Berlin, Raymond L. McKenzie and wife Theresa of Gorham, Paul E. McKenzie, Jr. of Berlin and Jacqueline Bilodeau and husband Edward of Berlin; grandchildren: Jerry, Pam, Jessie, Tina, Monica, Cody, and Bryce; several great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Paul, a son Gerard, daughters Paulette and Linda, a granddaughter Angie, and her siblings Peter, Paul, Rene, Ovilla and Ovide Roberts.

Cecile described her life as one rich with the love of her family—a love that brought her endless joy. Family was at the center of her life, and she was happiest when those she loved were gathered around her. She found joy in tending to her home and in the traditions that brought everyone together, especially Sunday dinners shared around the table. Her home was a place of warmth and connection. Cecile was an avid reader and insightful writer. Over the years, she filled countless journals with her thoughts, observations, and reflections on life She loved the long days of summer and the beauty of the outdoors, spending plenty of time outside and walking through the woods with her grandchildren. She was a loving and empathetic mother, a compassionate and caring grandmother, and a kind and nurturing great-grandmother. Through each generation, she offered her presence of love, warmth, and care. More than anything, Cecile treasured her family and the life they shared together.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 11AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin with interment following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will received relatives and friends from 9:30-10:30AM, prior to the mass, at Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin.
