Carmen L. C. M. Fortier

Carmen L. C. M. Fortier, 65, of Berlin, NH passed away on Sunday November 17, 2013 at her daughters home. She was born in Berlin on August 21, 1948 the daughter of the late Bernard and Marie Fleur (Bouffard) Veilleux and lived in Berlin for most of her life. She had been employed by Berlin City Chevrolet as a driver and had also worked at Derby Lodge and Friendship House. Carmen was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and enjoyed traveling, carpentry, cooking and gardening. She had been a VISTA Volunteer in 1982-1983 and she coordinated, along with George Kounas, the first Chemical Free Graduation at Gorham High School, which still continues. Family includes her son Rodney Fortier and his wife Doris of Berlin, NH; daughters Jacqueline Marois of Berlin, NH and Danielle Warner of Berlin, NH; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 1 brother and 1 sister. There will be no services. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
