Bryan David Jillette, 58, of Gorham, NH, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 15, 2020 after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. He was born in Gloucester, MA, on April 22, 1962 the son of David F. Jillette and Ellen S. Farrington and was raised in Massachusetts. Bryan graduated with a Diploma in Culinary Arts from Bay Path Vocational Technical School. A member of the Gorham Congregational Church, UCC, Bryan had been employed by Grant’s Shop and Save in Glen, NH, for several years. He loved taking drives along the coast to find lighthouses, exploring nature, spotting moose, and Smokey “the” Bear – at times even dressing as him while working at a Vermont State Campground. He enjoyed going to flea markets and fairs, taking great pleasure in playing carnival games. Friends knew him best through his generosity to lend a helping hand and his culinary passion for baking and cooking, usually in large quantities – which is a Jillette family trait he learned from his dad and passed to his children. He appreciated spending as much time as possible with his friends and family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Members of the family include his wife Debra Jillette of Gorham, NH; his father David F. Jillette and his wife Willine of Rotonda West, FL; his mother Ellen S. Farrington of Center Conway, NH; his brothers Gordon Jillette and his wife Ursula of Center Conway, NH and Jamie Jillette of Rotonda West, FL; his ex-wife Doris Wight of Sabattus ME, and their children Ryan Morin and his wife Melissa of Winthrop, ME, Timothy Jillette of Savannah, GA, Nathaniel Jillette and his wife Alexandria of Weatogue, CT, Cynthia Phillips of Lewiston, ME and Christopher Jillette and his wife Carolyn of Lewiston, ME; his step-children Jason Schneider of Madison, NH, Heather Colson and her husband Nathan of Livermore Falls, ME and Jennifer Struble and her husband Skylar of Lebanon, NH; and 10 grandchildren.
