Brenda L. Sherman

Brenda Lee (McCaw) Sherman of Gorham, NH passed away gracefully on December 20, 2021, in Berlin, NH.



Brenda was born in Limestone, Maine to Donald J. McCaw and Della M. Purcell on July 10, 1955. She married Bruce E. Sherman on May 12, 1973. They lived most of their lives together at their home in Barkhamsted, CT, where they raised their two children. In 2015 Bruce and Brenda fulfilled a lifelong dream and moved to Northern New Hampshire, where they enjoyed being surrounded by beautiful mountains and living close to both of their children and all eight of their grandchildren. Brenda fought the odds time and time again and never once gave up or complained. Her strength was inexplicable. She was a source of inspiration to many and her beautiful smile, quick wit and enormous capacity for love will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.



Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Donald J. McCaw, Jr. and her sister, Deborah Maiori. She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce E. Sherman; daughter, Sabrina and husband Jamie McAllister of Groveton, NH; son, George and wife Rachel Sherman of Gorham, NH; sister, Donna and husband Ted Sherman of CT; brother, Freeman McCaw of NC; brother, Charles and wife Laura McCaw of FL; sister-in-law, Judy Sherman of FL; and eight grandchildren, Shawn, Christian, Aedan and Isabella McAllister and Edward, Philip, Arthur and Daniel Sherman. Her eight grandchildren were her "sunshine".



There will be no services at this time. Further arrangements will be made by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made through Bryant Funeral Home's Tribute Fund to help with burial costs. Private donations can be made directly to the family.
