Beatrice M. Poulin

May 24, 1931 — November 20, 2025

Northfield, NH

On November 20, 2025, our family lost its matriarch, and heaven gained a special angel. Beatrice M. (Delisle) Poulin, 94, of Northfield, NH, who was born to Andre and Eva (Michaud) Delisle, reared and worked in Berlin, NH, passed peacefully in her sleep during a short stay at the Merrimack County Nursing Home. She had a zest for life beyond most people and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was nurturing and supportive to all, encouraging everyone to strive to be their best in whatever they undertook. She herself was strong-minded, and when undertaking a task was not only determined to see it through, but to ensure it was done correctly and to the best of her abilities. She enjoyed family gatherings of all sorts, loved to laugh, dance, and have a little nip now and then. She enjoyed socializing, traveling, card playing, was a perfectionist when it came to arts and crafts, crocheting, knitting, quilting, and sewing. She loved the outdoors, swimming, fishing, and especially gardening. She was a terrific cook and baker; many of her nieces have fond memories of her bake sales where 24 pies and dozens of cookies and sweet breads were never enough. Her favorite saying was “you need to spend money to make money,” and that she did – when she did something, she went all out. She was a hard worker as a towel packer for the Brown Company, a waitress, cook, cleaner, and seamstress, and in her later years, was a private home care provider to many.

She will be greatly missed and is survived by her youngest son, George Poulin of Northfield, NH, granddaughters Samantha Poulin and Krystle (John) Poulin-Carter, great grandchildren Cali Jo and Hannah Powell, and Ian Carter all of Brooklet, GA; a brother and sister-in-law, Roland and Nancy Delisle of Wakefield, NH, and many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Henri Poulin (1982), her son, Joseph Poulin (1986), brothers (and their spouses): George (Nancy), Paul (Priscilla), Andrew “Fat” (Sally), Richard “Cockeye” (Cheryl), Leo (Helen), Maurice (Lauraine) Delisle and sister Lucille Delisle.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 1PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 11AM-12:30PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, prior to the mass.
