B. Lorraine Downes Quiram

B. Lorraine Downes Quiram, 92, of Berlin, NH, passed away on Thursday April 20, 2023 at her home. She was born in Berlin on August 29, 1930 the daughter of the late Ira and Celia (Martin) Downes and graduated from Berlin High School with the Class of 1948. Lorraine had been employed by John Hancock Life Insurance in Boston, MA for 36 ½ years, retiring in 1984 as a supervisor and returned to Berlin. She was a member of the Salvation Army in Berlin and was an active volunteer in many church and civic functions.

Family includes her husband Raymond C. Quiram of Berlin, NH;  several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters M. Mae Bellemore, Minnie Oleson, Doris Norton, Dorothy Downes, Margaret Luckern and Florence Quiram and her brothers Robert, Charles, George and Derwood Downes.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 29, 2023 at 1 PM at the Salvation Army, 15 Cole St, Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the New City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation to the Salvation Army in her memory.
