BERLIN----- Arthur Joseph Bergeron Jr, 89, passed away on January 15th, 2026 at his home.

Joe was born on November 9th, 1936 in Berlin. He was the son of the late Arthur Joseph Bergeron Sr. and Florence (Bilodeau) Bergeron.

Joe was a lifelong resident of Berlin. He graduated Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, NH and attended Berlin Public Schools prior to that. Joe earned his bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT. He married Elaine Thibeault on September 11th, 1965. Joe owned and operated Bilodeau Insurance and also was President and owner of Kelley’s Auto Parts. Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran stationed in Heidelberg, Germany and a member of the Ryan-Scammon Post 36 American Legion in Berlin. Joe also served as head of the assessors department in Berlin. He loved going to camp, fishing, snowmobiling, and boating. He also enjoyed history documentaries.

Joe is survived by his wife Elaine Bergeron of Berlin, three sons; Jeffrey Bergeron and his wife Brenda of Berlin, Allen Bergeron and his wife Sherry of Hooksett, Glenn Bergeron of Milan, and four grandchildren; Christina, Mariah, Brenden, and Morgan. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Virginia Bergeron.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 12 pm at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10-12 pm, prior to the service. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
