Annette M. Couture

Annette M. (Chalou) Couture, 94, of Berlin, NH died peacefully at her home on November 12, 2023. She was born in Ashland, ME on January 4, 1929 the daughter of the late Edmund Chalou and Julie Goulet. She graduated from Berlin High School Class of 1947 and lived most of her married life in Berlin. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who was always there when you needed her. She also had many friends and was a lifetime member of St. Anne Parish. For many years she had been employed as a cook at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. She enjoyed the simplest pleasures like cooking, knitting, reading and spending time at the family camp.

She is survived by her sons: Terry Couture and wife Carol, Wayne Couture and Jerry Couture; three daughters: Shirlene Couture, Linda Villard and her husband Charles, Jr., and Pamela Tardif and partner Steve Laroche; grandchildren: Michelle, Chuck, Scott, Christopher, Jarod, Jason, Travis, Samuel, Nicholas, Aleesia, Brandyn, Crystal and Cheatham; great-grandchildren: Madison, Avery, Zander, Jannah, Jayse, Payton, Makayla, Declan, Cypress, Zaiden, Weston, Jackson, Olivia, Ashton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Marcel, her twins Josephine and Anna, her daughters Janet Couture, Karen Morton and a son Roney Couture.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 10am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday, November 19th from 3-5pm at the Bryant & Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH. Interment will take place at St. Kieran Cemetery on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 10am.
