Albert J. E. Roger, 63, of 426 Church Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday evening Feb. 4, 2006 at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin after a long illness. He was born in Berlin, NH on Nov. 25, 1942 the son of Willie J. and Stella Marie (Albert) Roger and was a lifelong resident. Albert attended St. Regis Academy in Berlin for several years and was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and was a communicant of St. Anne Church. Albert was a special needs person and congenitally blind. He had a knack of bringing out the best in everyone and enjoyed being with others. Albert was involved with the Community Services Center for several years and did odd jobs throughout the community. He loved to bowl and won many medals during his affiliation with Special Olympics. God needed a special angel by his side and called Albert to his eternal home. All who knew him were enriched, as he has touched many lives and will be missed by family and friends. Members of the family include his mother Stella Roger of Berlin; a sister Cecile Labrecque and her husband George of Berlin; a niece Amy Ramsey and her husband Steve of Milan; a nephew Mark Labrecque and his partner Maria Drake of Portsmouth; several uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Willie J. Roger in 1997. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish on Wednesday morning February 8, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Anyone who wishes may make a donation in his memory to Community Services Center.
