Albert "Buck" Dubois

December 27, 1954 — July 3, 2023

Albert “Buck” Dubois, 68 of Shelburne NH, formerly of Berlin NH, passed away after a brief illness on July 3, 2023 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. He was born December 27, 1954, the son of Edgar and Leola Albert Dubois. He attended Saint Joseph Grammar school and graduated from Berlin High in 1973. Buck was a lover of life. He loved his family, people, animals, the outdoors and his friends. He was known for his big smile, warm heart, and his giving spirit. After high school Buck traveled the country with friends and settled in Colorado for a while. He also lived in Atlanta Ga with several close friends from Berlin and worked in a private club as a cook and bartender. He returned to Berlin to care for his mother. She could not have had a more caring son. When she needed more professional care Buck would visit her several times a week at the nursing home. He would also visit two of his aunts regularly and never went empty handed. He always had sweets and magazines for them. Buck was always available to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Twice, he took care of a friend at the end of their lives. He moved in with them to assist in their care right up until they passed. He was a steady worker with most of his work in construction until he was physically unable. While in Africa working on building a school, he was so taken aback by the poverty he witnessed there, that he literally gave the shirt off his back to one of the family members who lived in a nearby hut. Before he left to return to the States, he left all his clothes with the family except for what he was wearing and gave them cash as well.

He will be missed by many friends because he was a true friend to many.

Family includes his sister, Louise Dubois Pariso, her husband Richard, nephew Ricky, niece Renee Pariso Sullivan, her husband Jim and their son Jacob. All from Elmira NY., many cousins and relatives.

Bryant Funeral Homes and Crematory are handling the arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If you would like to attend and/or make a contribution towards funeral expenses, please contact Rocky at
