A. Jean Benner

A. Jean Benner, 88, of Gorham, NH, passed away on Sunday January 7, 2024 at her home. She was born in Somerville, MA on July 6, 1935 the daughter of the late John V. and Helen R. (Holmes) McCarron and she was raised there. She lived in Billerica, MA before moving to Gorham, where she resided for over 35 years. Jean had been employed by Walmart and loved having people around her. She enjoyed her annual Fourth of July celebration and enjoyed living in the Great North Woods

Family includes her children Lori Rosati and Steve Roy of Gorham, NH and York, ME, Debbie Dollier of Texas, David Rosati of Manchester, NH and Steven Rosati and wife Linda of Manchester, NH; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister Linda D’Orsi and husband Peter of Reading, MA and extended family members including Linda Riff. She was predeceased by her daughter Sheila Rosati, her husband Donald Benner, and her partner of 15 years Jesse Peters.

A funeral service will be held on Friday January 12, 2024 at 1 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be held privately at the Holy Family Cemetery. The family would like to thank North Country Home Health and Hospice for their special care, as well as the Gorham Fire Department for the services they have provided over the years. In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes may make donations in Jean’s memory to the Gorham Parks & Recreation Department, of which she took great enjoyment from their events.
