William S. Hamlin

William S. Hamlin, 84, of Milan, NH, passed away on Monday February 29, 2016 in FL. He was born in Errol, NH on October 8, 1931 the son of the late Philip G. and Minnie I. (Stewart) Hamlin and lived most of his life in Milan. He had been employed by Brown Company and James River Corp. in the Accounting Department and was heavily involved in town politics in Milan. He was also was an active member and past chief of the Milan Fire Department and was a NH Forest Fire Warden. Bill was a member of the Gorham Sabattis Lodge # 73 F&AM and the Milan Methodist Church. He had wintered in Florida for several years. The family includes his sisters Mary Lou Johnson of Riverview, FL and Celia Kirkpatrick of Saybrook, IL; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine S. (Johnson) Hamlin and a sister Polly Laramee. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 12, 2016 at 10 AM at the Milan Community United Methodist Church. Spring interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Friday March 11 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Milan Community United Methodist Church.
