William J. Donovan

William J. Donovan, 82, of Milan, passed away on Tuesday April 3, 2018 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. He was born in Berlin on December 7, 1935 the son of the late Hanaford and Arlene (St. Clair) Donovan and was a lifelong resident of the area He graduated from Berlin High with the Class of 1955 and had been the co-owner of Pennock Appliances for several years. Bill later worked on construction at several places around the country as an electrical superintendent. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed North Country history, reading books, spending time at his camp in the Swift Diamond and spending time with his many friends in Milan and Errol. He was loved by many and will be missed. Family includes his wife Pauline (Cloutier) Donovan of Milan, NH; children Cindy Donovan Emmons and husband Romilly of Salem, NH, Peter Donovan and wife Tammy of Milan, NH and Brian Donovan and wife Michelle of Londonderry, NH; grandchildren Maygan, Melyssa, Mackenzie, Cameron, Madison and Ryan; a great granddaughter, Kendal; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister Joyce Piper. In keeping with Bills wishes, there will be no services.
