William "Bill" Gemmiti

Mr. William Bill Gemmiti, 73, formerly of Berlin, NH, passed away on November 9, 2008 in New Port Richey, FL. He was born in Berlin, NH on September 6, 1935 the son of Dominic and Carmela (DeVito) Gemmiti and lived most of his life in Berlin. He was a US Army and US Marine Corps Veteran. He was the owner of Gemmiti Paving Co. for many years and was later employed by the City of Berlin as a bus driver. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper and played professionally as a musician. Members of the family include his wife Shirley (Lizzie) Gemmiti of New Port Richey, FL; daughter Lisa Ryan of Turner, ME; sons Mark Gemmiti and his wife Celine of Mont Vernon, NH and Greg Gemmiti of Milford, NH; step-children Judy Middleton and her husband Robert of Berlin, NH, Sandra Rosenberg and husband Bob Rodrigue of Berlin, NH and Kathy Perry and her husband Michael of Gilford, NH; 13 grandchildren; 1 sister Julia Sullivan of Berlin, NH; 2 brothers John Gemmiti of Clearwater, FL and Roland BeBe Gemmiti of Berlin, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by 2 sisters Viola Lambert and Anna Pino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 15, 2008 at 1 PM St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin, NH. Interment will be in St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Donations in is memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Veterans Administration.
