Thelma M. Bergquist

Mrs. Thelma M. Bergquist, 90, of 601 Lancaster St. Berlin, NH passed away on October 21, 2006 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin after a brief illness. She was born in Berlin, NH on January 31, 1916, the daughter of Corey and Lois (Durkee) Goddard, and was a resident of Milan most of her life. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1933 and graduated from St. Louis Hospital Nursing School in 1937 where she was employed for several years as a registered nurse. Mrs. Bergquist was a member of the Milan Methodist Church. She lived for her family and loved her farm and gardening. Members of her family include her daughter Frances Kelly of Berlin, NH; six grandchildren including Richard Adams of Waterford, VT, Cynthia OConnor of Mooresville, NC, Melinda Paker of North Berwick, ME, Steve Paker of Hanson, MA, Lisa Ryan of East Bridgewater, MA, and Michael Kelly of Winthrop, MA; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Pauline Sweeney, of Manchester, NH; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, John Buck Bergquist, in 1987 and by a daughter, Marlene L. Paker, in 1995. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at 11:00 AM, at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue in Berlin. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan, NH. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
