Sami Lee Dringenberg

Sami Lee Dringenberg, 54, daughter of Madelyn Splude and Edwin Dringenberg, both deceased, died on Aug. 5, 2007 from complications due to a long struggle with cancer. She was born in Portland, ME on April 23, 1953 and attended schools there. She worked as a C.N.A. in Maine and Florida for many years. She retired early, due to poor health. Sami Lee has resided in Berlin for over 20 years. She was active in the AA program and sponsored and helped many people and was extremely proud of her sobriety. Survivors include her sister Donna Stanhope and her husband Jim of Portland, ME; Edward Sabatino of Rockland, ME and her long time friend and companion Chris Otis of Berlin; aunts, nephews and cousins. A private service will be held in Berlin at a later date.
