Ruth Lorraine Couture

Mrs. Ruth Lorraine Couture, 86, of 28 Arthur Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Tuesday April 3, 2007 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital where she had received excellent and compassionate care. She had been a resident of St. Vincent de Paul Health Care Center, where she also received excellent and compassionate care for the past 2 years. She was born in Milan, NH on March 8, 1921 the daughter of Francis and Margaret (Mitchell) Hickey and was a lifelong resident of Berlin. She was a member of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Members of the family include 1 son Arthur (Sonny) Couture and his wife Brenda of Berlin, NH; 3 daughters Ann Holt of Berlin, NH, Denise Couture of Houston, TX and Cheryl Couture of Tortola, British Virgin Islands; 4 grandchildren Diana Lachapelle of Bradenton, FL, Shawn Couture of Berlin, NH, Amy Holt of Berlin, NH and Garret Couture of Houston, TX; 4 great-grandchildren Alexis, Olivia, Sophia and Ben; 3 sisters Caroline Brassard of Springfield, MA, Evelyn Hickey of Berlin, NH and Gloria Sloane of Berlin, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur R. Couture, Sr. in 1981, a brother Francis Hickey and a sister Leota Garran. A Funeral Service will be celebrated with the Liturgy of the Word at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish on Good Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Thursday April 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
