Ruth Hartley

Mrs. Ruth (Chapman) Hartley, 101, of Berlin, NH passed away on Monday morning Feb. 12, 2007 at the St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare Center in Berlin. She was born in Bethel, ME on July 19, 1905 the daughter of Percy and Gertrude (Leavitt) Chapman and had lived in Massachusetts from 1956 to 1979 and then moved to Berlin in 1979 where she has since resided. She was a member of St. Anne Church in Three Rivers, Massachusetts and had attended St. Kieran Church in Berlin. Ruth enjoyed doing crafts and cooking. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Monson, Massachusetts. Members of the family include 3 daughters Mary Carr of Derby, VT, Joan Wilson of Illioplis, Illinois, Sheila Bilodeau of Berlin ; 48 grandchildren; 73 great grandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 daughters Sally Therriault, Betty Chevarie and Doris Deveau and by 3 sons Maurice Landers, Jr., Clifford Landers and Chet Wilson and by 2 brothers Charles Chapman and Edmund Chapman. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning Feb. 17, 2007 at 11 AM in the Chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
