Roydon A. Vachon

Mr. Roydon A. Vachon, 68, of 45 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH passed away suddenly on Saturday Feb. 23, 2008 at his home. He was born in Gorham, NH on Jan. 6, 1940 the son of Walter and Antoinette (Bagley) Vachon and was a lifelong resident. He was a US Navy veteran. Prior to his retirement, Roydon was employed by the local paper mill for many years as a millwright. He was a member of Holy Family Church. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Millsfield Club. Members of the family include his wife Maggie (Marceau) Vachon of Gorham; a daughter Lorri Morin and her husband Gerry of Manchester; two sons William Vachon and his wife Tammy of South Carolina and Steven Vachon and his wife Tammy of Bangor, ME; two stepsons Lance Bartashevich of Gorham and Shane Bartashevich of Saugus, MA; six granddaughters and one grandson; a brother Ronald Vachon and his wife Ritchie of Gorham; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Jeffrey Vachon and by a sister Marilyn Fauteux. SERVICES: A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home in Gorham.
