Rolande D (Desgroseilliers) Blanchette

Rolande D. Blanchette passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. Vincent de Paul Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 84 years old.



Rolande was born in Berlin, on September 18, 1933, a daughter of the late Armand and Aurelia (Roy) Desgroseilliers. She attended school in Berlin, and married Normand Blanchette and the two raised six sons and one daughter.



She was a member of Guardian Angel Parish now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish as well as the former Ladies of St. Anne.



She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her greatest love was her family, she was a very loving, caring and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She could always be seen outside shoveling and maintain her home. In her later years she enjoyed her bus trips to Foxwoods Casino.



She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Normand; and her 16 brothers and sisters.



She is survived by six sons, Ronald Blanchette and his partner Patty Jo of Berlin, Gerard Blanchette and his wife Susan of Penacook, NH, Claude Blanchette and his wife Linda of Berlin, Robert Blanchette and wife Sue of Milan, David Blanchette of Errol, Scott Blanchette of Errol, a daughter, Cynthia Gosselin and her husband Kevin of Rochester, NH,. She also leaves ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.



Friends and relatives may call on the family on Thursday, May 17th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Friday, May 18th from 8:30am to 9:30am at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street in Berlin. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 18th at 10:00am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, Berlin. Interment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery.
