Roland A St. Onge

Berlin, NH

Roland A. St. Onge, formerly of Roderick Street and Success Street, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Coos County Nursing Home where he had resided for the past 4 years. He was 84.

Born on March 7, 1929 in Berlin, NH, he was the son of Eusebe and Marieanne (Corbeil) St. Onge.

A lifelong resident of Berlin, Roland attended Angel Guardian School and after the seventh grade he went to work in the woods.

He retired from White Mountain Lumber Company in Berlin where he worked as a pallet maker.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and now St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.

His pastimes included candlepin bowling and listening to old French Canadian Music.

His parents pre-deceased him.

Survivors include three sisters Jeannine Marcou, Estelle Chevarie, and Lucienne Fontaine all of Berlin. Nieces Starr Letarte, Susan Hammond, and Barbara Brouillette; nephews: Donald Chevarie, Leo Chevarie, Ronald Labbe, Michael Labbe, Joseph Labbe, Kenneth Labbe, and Jeffrey Marcou; several grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Thursday, January 23, 2014 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin.

Calling hours will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday evening January 22 and from 8:30am to 9:30am prior to the Mass on Thursday Morning January 23 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.
