Roger Norman Rousseau of North Road passed away Friday evening August 31, 2013 at his home following a 1 A year battle with ALS. He was 59.

Born on May 5, 1954 in Berlin, NH, he was the son of Norman and Rita (Belanger) Rousseau.

Roger grew up in Berlin, attended St. Joseph Grammar School, and was a 1972 graduate of Berlin High School. He also attended the Berlin Vocational School.

On August 17, 1974, he married his high school sweetheart Nancy I. Lagasse of Berlin. They made their home in Shelburne, NH and together they raised two daughters which he loved dearly.

Roger was employed at Gorham Paper and Tissue Company as a paper colorist until his retirement due to his illness in 2012.

He enjoyed walking and the company of his dogs Sammy and Teddy, driving his Mustang car, and was an avid Patriots Fan. He also enjoyed camping with his family at Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church now known as St. Anne's Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.

He is pre-deceased by his father Norman Rousseau and two grandchildren Ryley and Karson.

He leaves his loving wife of 39 years Nancy I. Rousseau of Shelburne, NH; Daughters Kathryn Rousseau and her companion Tyler Bailey of Bangor, ME and Megan Rousseau of Shelburne, NH; his mother Rita (Belanger) Rousseau of Berlin; two sisters Louise Rousseau of Berlin, NH and Colette Stranger and her husband George of Edgewater, Florida; two nephews Derek Stranger and Normand Lagasse, Jr; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Saturday, September 7 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Rev. Kyle Stanton will officiate. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery in Berlin.

Calling hours will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, Sept 6 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.
