Roger J Couture

Roger J. Couture, 82, Milan, died at Androscoggin Valley Hospital on Tuesday January 14, 2020. He was born in Berlin on July 1, 1937 to Armel and Mary Jane (Buote) Couture. He attended Berlin High School graduating with the class of 1957.



Roger found work locally and went on to own several local businesses, including Riverside Motor Inn, Sports Enterprise Motor-sports, and Mt. Forist Studios. He had a rural route contract with the USPS for over 40 years that ran from Berlin to Wilson Mills, ME. Roger worked as a master electrician with the IBEW Local 490, work that brought him all over the country, including the construction of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant. He had a private pilot license and owned his own plane at the Berlin Municipal Airport.



He is predeceased by his parents, a son Albert Turmel, two brothers, Armand Couture and Rudy Buote, a sister Helen Couture, and canine companion Nakita. He is survived by a son, Bryan Couture and his fiance Samantha Bombard of Dummer, three daughters, Kimberly Perkins and her husband Robert of Brattelboro, VT, Stacy Marois and her husband Donald of Milan, and Hollie Dube and her husband Luc of Milan, a sister-in-law Helen Buote of Jay, ME, six grandchildren Alexa, Joseph, Kayden, Bryn, Chase, and Willow, several nieces and nephews, close friends Jean Mailloux and Frank Kenny, whos companionship and help allowed Roger to remain in his home, and his beloved dog Ella.



Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
