Mr. Roger A. Torro, 58, of Nashua, NH passed away on Sunday August 8, 2010 at the Southern NH Medical Center. He was born in Berlin, NH on August 12, 1951 the son of Albert and Simone I. (Perrault) Torro. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Berlin and Hesser College in Manchester, where he studied business. He worked for Converse Rubber Co. in Berlin after high school and after graduating from Hesser College, he worked for many years at Wallboard Supply in Londonderry, NH. He was a C.P.A. and a notary public. His passion was his love of skydiving at Pepperell, MA. He was a member of the U.S. Parachute Association for 34 years. He had several world records in skydiving and brought in the soccer ball for the Olympics in Los Angeles, CA in 1984. He had held the world record for the 200 way jump. He traveled all over the country to live his dream. He received many awards for skydiving and also his knowledge of the extreme sport. He was a certified instructor for those taking their first tandem jump. Roger had volunteered at Southern NH Medical Center prior to his passing. Members of the family include his son Dominick Torro of Bedford, NH, his parents Albert and Simone (Perrault) Torro of Berlin, NH; , a brother Steve Torro and wife Amy of Tewksbury, MA; two sisters Susan Demars and husband Peter of Dover, NH and Gesele Scully and husband George of Rye, NH; nieces and nephews Brittany and Alexis Torro and Tyler and Maura Demars; aunts and uncles Dee Torro of Watertown, MA, Mary Savchick of Berlin, NH, Viola Roy of Berlin, NH, Bob and Theresa Landry of Keene, NH and Benoit Perreault of Enfield, CT; and cousins. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday August 14, 2010 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
