Mr. Robert L. Garneau, 83, of Zephyrhills, FL and Shelburne, NH, passed away on January 9, 2010 in Dade City, FL. He was born in Berlin, NH on May 24, 1926 the son of Edward B. and Eugenie (Rivest) Garneau and lived most of his life in Berlin. He was educated in Berlin schools and attended college in Manchester. He was employed by the US Post Office in Berlin for 14 years where his postal route was the East side of Berlin. He was also an auditor and vice-president of Capitol City Bank in Tallahassee, FL. He wintered in Zephyrhills, FL and summered in Shelburne, NH and was the tomato man of the White Birches Camping Park. He was a longtime member of the Club Joliette Snowshoe, where he played the trumpet. He also loved to dance. Members of the family include his wife Catherine Meissner Garneau of NH and Zephyrhills, FL; daughter Alma Jean Boisvert and husband Normand of Lincoln, NH; sons Ronald Robichaud and wife Natalia of Apache Jct., AZ and Scott Robichaud and wife Debbie of Amherst, NH; 4 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife Mary Ann (Colford) Garneau in 2003 to whom he was married for 44 years. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 19, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.
