Robert L. Catello

Mr. Robert L. Catello, 69, of 291 Howard Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Dec. 24, 2010. He was born in Berlin, NH on Dec. 22, 1941 the son of Louie and Arlene (Vaillancourt) Catello and was a lifelong resident. Bob was educated in Berlin Schools and was a graduate of Berlin High School, class of 1960. He was a lifelong musician and along with his family, he played at many locations including the Town & Country Motor Inn for years and also played at many religious ceremonies. He was self employed at Catello & Son Music in Berlin. Bob had a great love of the outdoors, was an avid trapper, marathon runner, canoeist, biker, cross country skier, gun collector and excellent trumpet player. He was a member of the NRA, the NH Trappers Association, the American Trappers Association and a member of the Nansen Ski Club. He very much enjoyed the company of his cat Maggie. Members of the family include his wife and best friend Jackie (Dupuis) Catello of Berlin; a son Travis Catello of Nashua; his sister Janet Halvorson and husband Brett of Milan; cousins; an aunt Dot Scherer; an uncle Roland LePage; his very close friends Brad Wilson and Ronnie Gilbert. He was predeceased by his parents Louie and Arlene Catello. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning Dec. 30, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. The family will receive friends and family at the church on Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11AM prior to the mass. Donations in his memory may be made to The Mental Health Center, Riverside Courtyards, 3 Twelfth St., Berlin, NH 03570. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home, Berlin.
