Robert E. O'Neill, Sr

Robert Edward O'Neill, Sr of West Village Road, died Thursday evening (November 18, 2010) at Memorial Hospital in North Conway, NH. He was 61.

Born on October 21, 1949 in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of Robert B. and Rose (Millette) O'Neill.

Robert grew up in Medway, Mass and was a 1968 graduate of Medway High School where he was Captain of the football team.

In July 1969, he entered the US Army and served in Vietnam, receiving an honorable discharge in July 1971.

Returning to Medway from Vietnam, he worked as a mason. He then moved to Milan, NH.

He was employed at Isaacson Steel Company in Berlin until his illness.

Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing horseshoes.

Spending time with family was most important to him. He is loved and will be missed by all.

His father Robert B. O'Neill preceded him.

He is survived by his wife Julie Ann O'Neill of Milan, NH

His mother Rose Hooper and his step-father Earl Hooper of Medway, Mass.

A son Robert E. O'Neill and his wife Maggie of Medway, Mass

A daughter Shawna Tai of Waltham, Mass

Two step-daughters Melissa Rae Guitard of Apex, NC and Amy Beth Guitard of Raleigh, NC

Three grandchildren Tyler Cummings, Michael O'Neill, and Shae O'Neill.

Four brothers: Stephen O'Neill, Danny O'Neill, Johnny O'Neill, and David O'Neill all of Medway, Mass.

Three sisters: Carol Griffin and her husband Norman of Bellingham, Mass, Donna Cassidy and her husband James of Medway, Mass and Robin O'Neill of Mass.

Many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10am Wednesday, November 24 in the parlor of Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. Rev. Steven Lepine will officiate.

Burial with military honors will follow at 1pm Wednesday at NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.

Calling hours will be held from 6-8pm Tuesday, Nov 23 at the funeral home.
