Robert A. Young

Robert A. Young, 89, of Milan, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, at St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Berlin after a period of declining health. He was born in Jefferson, NH the son of the late Vernon and Mildred (Ingerson) Young. He moved to Milan in the 1940s and attended the Thompson School of Agriculture at the University of New Hampshire. He was self-employed as a farmer for many years. Members of the family include his three sons, Rodney Young of Milan, Wayne Young of Bushnell, FL, and Jeffrey Young of Milan; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; sisters Marjorie Jodrie of Gorham and Beverly Crossley of Auburn, ME. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife June (Perry) Young in 1986. A graveside service will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan on June 19, 2018 at 11 AM. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Center Activities Dept., 29 Providence Ave., Berlin, NH 03570.
