Rita M. Rasys, 57, passed away on February 15, 2016 at her home in Mesquite, NV. She was born on July 1, 1958 in Berlin, NH to Roland and Mary Valerino Jutras. After a loving 15 year relationship, Rita married Philip Lloyd Rasys in Las Vegas, NV on April 22, 2012. Rita was a special lady who accomplished a lot. Rita graduated from Berlin High School in 1977, graduated from Beauty school and graduated from Steven-Henger College in 2013. Rita loved to take daily walks,especially with her dog, Ruby. Mostly though, Rita enjoyed being in her home with her family and friends. She had a knack for making people laugh and feel important and loved. Rita was very proud of Italian heritage, took pride in cooking for her family and in making sure no one ever left hungry. Rita also held a special devotion to God, reading the Bible daily. Overall, she lived for her family and will be missed greatly! Rita survived by her husband, Philip L. Rasys of Mesquite, NV; her oldest son Adam Foss, his wife Therese and their three children; Cecilia, Lucille and Maxwell of Waterford, CT; her youngest son Justin Foss, his fianc Shalai Galata and her daughter Lilliann of Salt Lake City, UT; her goddaughter, Beth Cooney and godson, Dana Ducharme; her sister Helen and husband Willy Burlock, her brother Tony and wife Gail Jutras, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Roland Jutras, her mother, Mary Jutras and a sister Anita Ducharme. Interment will be in the Russian City Cemetery on Saturday June 18, 2016 at 10 AM. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
