Rita Helena Sgrulloni

Rita H. Sgrulloni formerly Promenade Court passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 at Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin following a short illness. She was 90 years old.

Born on April 17, 1920 in Gorham, NH, she was the daughter of Philip and Bridget (Therberge) Thompson.

Rita was a 1938 graduate of Gorham High School. While in high school, she set the record for being the only player to win a girl's basketball game single handedly at Gorham High School, a record that still remains today.

She was employed for many years as a waitress at the Golden Lunch in Gorham.

She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Gorham.

She is survived by her son Darrell Sgrulloni and his wife Shirley of Gorham

Daughter Heidi Legendre and her husband Ken of Gorham.

Grandchildren: Rita Premo of Berlin and Katie Braley of Meredith.

Great-Grandchildren: Miranda Roy, Ashley Premo, and Kameron Premo all of Berlin, Madisyn Braley of Meredith and Ethan Sgrulloni and Emily Sgrulloni both of Allentown, PA.

A sister Ina Perron of Claremont, NH. Several nieces and nephews.

She is pre-deceased by her husband Daniel Sgrulloni (1976), two grandsons: Darren Sgrulloni and Danny Legendre, and several brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm, Friday, October 15 at Holy Family Church, 7 Church St, Gorham. Rev. Steven Lepine will officiate. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Gorham.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm and 7-9pm Thursday, October 14 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 33 Exchange St, Gorham.
