Rita B (Guay) Morin

Rita B. (Guay) Morin passed away in her home on Friday, October 27, 2017. She was 88 years old.

Born in Berlin on July 10, 1929 she was the daughter of Alyre and Beatrice (Chatigny) Guay.

Rita was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, class of 1948. In August of 1953 she married Gerard "Sam" Morin. Together they raised three children while building the family business, C&S Vending.

She was a communicant of Guardian Angel Church, currently St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish and a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Her greatest love was her family. She was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Hosting and cooking large holiday dinners brought her much happiness. The family will miss her delicious Tourtiers (Canadian pork pies). She enjoyed listening to a wide genre of music, reading romance novels and the daily newspapers, playing cards with friends and family, solving word puzzles and gardening. Words-With-Friends became a great passion and it was a challenge for anyone to beat her. Rita also had a deep affection for golden retrievers and the many who brought her much happiness throughout the years.

Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Gerard "Sam" Morin, brother Maurice Guay and sister Pauline Campion.

Ritas memory, good humor and deep commitment to family will live on through the lives of her three children; Diane Morin and partner Valerie Shelton of Newmarket, NH, Janine Therriault and husband Bob of Milan, NH and David Morin and wife Vicki of Pelham, NH; grandchildren Brian Therriault and wife Carla of Watertown, MA, Karisa Hanson and husband Chris of Revere, MA, Jacob Therriault and wife Maria of Gorham, NH, Jessica Morin and partner Alexander Galloway of Hudson, NH and Jodie Arsenault and husband Joseph of Holderness, NH; great-grandchildren Owen and Alexa Therriault, Sandra, Joshua and Eliana Arsenault and Travis Galloway; brothers Raymond Guay of Milan, NH and Lionel Guay of Lancaster, NH; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be at St. Kierans Cemetery, Berlin, NH.

Callings hours will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 6:00-pm to 8:00pm and on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 8:30am to 9:30am at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH 03570.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish Building Fund, 151 Emery Street, Berlin NH 03570 or ones charity of choice.
