Rita Adams

Rita L. (Morey) Adams, a resident of St. Vincent de Paul's Rehab and Nursing Home, formally of 214 Bridge St., Berlin, NH, passed away August 20, 2015.

She was born September 21, 1929, eighth child and daughter of Clarence and Flora Morey of Gorham, NH.

Rita graduated from Gorham High School in 1947. She was a telephone operator for the Telephone Co. in Gorham from 1947-52. She was married to George W. Adams Jr. of Berlin on May 31, 1952 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Berlin, NH. Together they raised 4 children, Jody (Adams) Smith; Jill (Adams) Aube; Jayne (Adams) Laurion; and George W. Adams III. She was the grandmother of Jolie, Brandon, Justin, Jillian, Dylan, Owen, Jacob, and Josey. She also had four great-grandchildren, Tyler , Brian, Rowan, and Finley.

In Rita's younger years, she enjoyed camping, picnicking, and all events that revolved around family and friends. Her ever pleasant, positive, and kind demeanor will be greatly missed, as well as her confident, loving response, "That's OK".

Rita was predeceased by her husband, parents, and siblings.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at Mt Calvary Cemetery on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10:00am.
