Rita A. Collins, 74, passed away in her home on September 13, 2017. She was born in Berlin, NH on December 3, 1942 to the late Albina and William Lapointe. She married George Dale in 1960 and became a widow in 1968 then remarried Lionel Lee Collins on October 9, 1971. She was a graduate of St. Patrick High School and was employed as a secretary for Tri County CAP, and for a brief time with the Red Cross. Rita was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Berlin. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, and weekly BINGO at St. Annes Hall. Her favorite time of the year was an annual Old Orchard Beach trip with her daughters and granddaughters which was a tradition she began with her husband, Lee Collins, over 25 years ago. She is survived by her children: Judy Arsenault and husband Roland of Milan, NH, Vickie Dale of North Port, FL, Lori Fortin and husband William of Gorham, NH and Gary Dale of Berlin, NH; grandchildren Jake Arsenault, Tiffani Arsenault-Dike and her husband Bradley and great-granddaughter Jocelyn; great granddaughter Alexis Fortin, Samantha Brooks, William Fortin, Jr., partner Shawna Pageau and great granddaughter Ava, Jessica Dale and partner Neko Sanchez and great grandchildren Luis, Larissa and Lucas. She was predeceased by her husband, Lionel Lee Collins and her sister Nancy Brown. Graveside Services will be celebrated on Saturday September 16, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Friday from 4 to 6 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
