Richard G Cusson

Richard Gerard "Rick" Cusson of Berlin passed away Wednesday evening October 23, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 60.

Born on April 2, 1953 in Berlin, NH, he was the son of Paul and Lucille (Leclerc) Cusson.

Richard grew up in Berlin, attended St. Joseph Grammar School and was a 1971 graduate of Notre Dame High School.

On April 21, 1974, he married Nancy (Durant) of Berlin. They made their home in Berlin and together they had three sons, Brian, Tim, and Scott.

Rick was employed at Public Service Company of NH as a Hydro Working Foreman until his retirement due to his illness in August 2013.

He was a communicant of St. Anne's Church now known as Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.

He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, four wheeling and fishing. He participated in several fishing derbies throughout New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. He was a fan of the Patriots and the Red Sox. His favorite color was green. Although he loved all those things nothing compared to the love he had for his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

He is pre-deceased by his by parents and his sons Scott and Timothy.

He leaves his loving wife of 39 years Nancy A. Cusson; his son Lt Col Brian R. Cusson and wife Elizabeth of Tucson, AZ; daughter-in-law Bridget Cusson of Milan, NH; and his grandchildren, Hayleigh, Nicholas, Madison and Hadley. In addition, he leaves behind six siblings; Paul Cusson and wife Fran of Berlin, NH; Paulette Theriault and husband Sylvio of Epsom, NH; Jane Caouette and husband Ronald of Dover, NH; Ann Marie White and husband Gary of Berlin, NH; Robert Cusson and wife Lynne of Bethlehem, NH; and Monique Lavertu and husband Robin of Berlin ,NH. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and relatives may call on the family on Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street in Berlin. (Use School Street Entrance)

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm Monday, October 28 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Reverend Marc Gagne will officiate. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery in Berlin.
