Richard E. Rick White, 81, of 29 Second St., Gorham, NH passed away on May 15, 2012 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, surrounded by his family. He was born in Berlin, NH on September 25, 1930 the son of Stewart J. and Evelyn (Willey) White and was educated in local schools. He served in the US Navy in New London, CT and at a submarine base in Key West, FL and then returned to the area. He had been employed by Currier Trucking, Crown Vantage, Red Wing Express and Adley Express. Rick was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the Dupont-Holmes Post 82 American Legion in Gorham, was President of the White Mountain Riders Motorcycle Club and was an avid motorcyclist. Members of the family include his wife Emelda M.(Bigl) White of Gorham, NH; daughter Marsha Morneau and husband Charles of Berlin, NH; son Stewart K. White and wife Claire of Berlin, NH: grandchildren Susan Goguen of Moncton, NB, Canada, Jason Morneau and wife Rachael of Planville, MA, Melanie Janasco and husband George of New Gloucester, ME and Holly White and fiancee Joel Lacroix of Berlin, NH: great-grandchildren Ava Morneau, Andrew Morneau and Landon Janasco; brothers Elmont White of Dallas, GA and James White of Lawrenceville, GA; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 19, 2012 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on Wednesday morning May 23, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the NH SPCA, PO Box 196, Stratham, NH, 03885.
