Rene W Roy, 94, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2016 in his home in Park City, Utah surrounded by his family.

Born in Berlin, NH on September 7, 1921 he was the son of Moise and Josephine (Demars) Roy.

Rene was a WWII veteran, serving as a corporal in the army in the 13th airborne division, 515th Parachute Infantry Regiment in France & England.

On September 3, 1945 he married Irene Roberge and together they raised three children. They raised their children in Berlin and lived here until last October when they moved to Park City, Utah to live with their son Paul and his wife Dianne.

He worked as a machine tender at Brown Company, James River & Crown Vantage for 42 years, retiring in 1983. His favorite retirement saying was 'give me 10 good years & I'll be happy'. Well, he got 33 good years!

Rene loved spending as much time as he could at their camp at Akers pond, enjoying fishing & hunting & teaching his grandchildren how to fish. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles & a lifelong member of the VFW.

Besides his parents he is pre-deceased by his daughter Claire in 1970; a brother Lucien Roy and sisters Rita Gagnon, Annette Chauvette and Doris Roberge.He is survived by his loving wife Irene Roy of Park City, Utah; two sons Paul Roy and wife Dianne of Park City Utah and Roger Roy and wife Debora of Litchfield, NH; Five grandchildren Cindy Levine and husband Andy of Park City Utah, Michael Roy of Park City, Utah, Naomi Alosso and husband Tom of Manchester, NH Alicia Houston of Londonderry, NH and Camron Roy of Litchfield, NH; Nine Great-Grandchildren; Maya Rose Levine and Asher Levine of Park City, Utah, Summer, Dominic, Roman, Deacon & Sawyer Alosso of Manchester, NH and Jordan and Kobe Martel of Londonderry, NH. He is also survived by his brothers; Maurice Roy, Alcide Roy, Roland Roy and wife Therese, Lionel Roy and wife Beverly and a sister Yvette and husband Leo Paul Parent. Many nieces & nephews.

Burial will be at Mt Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
