Raymond L. Blais

Raymond L. Blais, 85, of Villa Rica, Georgia and formerly of Berlin & Gorham, NH passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at his home with family by his side. He was born in Berlin, NH on July 25, 1930 the son of the late Albert and Germaine (Gagne) Blais and lived most of his life in Berlin & Gorham and was a winter resident of Arizona until two years ago, when he moved to Georgia. Raymond was a graduate of Notre Dame High School with the class of 1949. He had been employed by Joseph G. Blais Wholesale for 36 years and had been Co-Owner for the last 14 years of his employment. He was a member of Holy Family Church. Members of the family include his wife of 63 years Lorraine C. (Lamoureux) Blais of Villa Rica, Georgia; two daughters Sylvia Lagerquist and her husband John of Hyattsville, Maryland and Rachel McGirt and her husband Rick of Douglasville, Georgia; two sons Donald Blais and his wife Susan of Weare, NH and Robert L. Blais and his wife Ramona of York, ME; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a brother Richard Blais and his wife Helen of Nashua, NH; a sister Sr. Jeannine Blais of the Sisters of Presentation of Mary in Manchester, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers Fernand Blais and Donald Blais. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 5, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin, NH. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow in the St. Kieran Cemetery, Berlin, NH. Those attending the services are asked to meet directly at the church. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin & Gorham, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sisters of Presentation of Mary Retirement Fund, 495 Mammoth Road, Manchester, NH 03104 or to St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, for Masses to be said in his memory, 151 Emery St., Berlin, NH 03570.
