Ralph L. Chapman

Mr. Ralph L. Chapman, 76, of 66 Evans Street, Gorham, NH passed away on Thursday June 21, 2007 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Me. He was born in Stratford, NH on March 23, 1931 the son of Leslie and Mary (Ball) Chapman and has lived in Gorham for the past 50 years. He had been employed by Royal Crown Beverage, St. Johnsbury Trucking for 23 years, Ken Corrigan Excavating and lastly as a merchandiser for Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. He had served in the US Army. He was Past Commander of the Dupont-Holmes Post # 82 American Legion, a member of the Gorham Planning Board and he loved his work. Members of the family include his wife Pearl M. (Savard) Chapman of Gorham, NH; 4 sons Charles Chapman and wife Debra of Virginia Beach, VA, Chester Chapman of Quincy, MA, Michael Chapman and wife Nona of Berwyn, IL and Kevin Chapman and wife Krystal of Berlin, NH; 1 daughter Sheila Welch and husband Keith of Gorham, NH; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; 1 brother Eugene Chapman and wife Ruby of North Haverhill, NH; 2 sisters Wilma Nelson and husband David of Milan, NH and Norma Borusiewicz of Naugatuck, CT; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife Patricia (Davis) Chapman, a son Ralph Leslie Chapman, Jr. and a brother Edward Chapman. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 25, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
