Priscilla L. Tillie Meyers, 84, of Shelburne, NH, passed away on Thursday June 4, 2015 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She was born in Shelburne on May 11, 1931 the daughter of the late Roland F. and Margaret (Wilson) Hayes and was a lifelong resident. She had been employed by the Philbrook Farm Inn, the Wildcat Ski Area, Granite State Rubber Co. and the Town of Shelburne. She was a member of the Winthrop Grange presently serving as Master. She was also a member of the Northern NH Pomona Grange #5, a member of the NH State Grange and the National Grange. She was a prior member of the Shelburne Fire Department, was a member of the Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the Dupont-Holmes Unit 82 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Tillie will always be remembered for her generous support of her community and the organizations she was involved with, her baking and organizing dinners for anyone in need. No bake sale was ever complete without a batch of Tillies donuts. Family includes her husband of 63 years Burton E. Meyers of Shelburne; her daughter Elaine Wood and husband Guy Wood, III of Shelburne; grandchildren Heather Wood and Guy E. Wood and fiance Briana Bernard; great-grandchildren Shianna Wood and Guy E. Wood, Jr.; brothers and sisters Roland F. Hayes and wife Roma of Shelburne, Dorothy Bean of Bethel, ME, Richard Hayes of Shelburne, Warren Tommy Hayes and wife Nina of Shelburne, Shirley Lemay and husband George of Merrimack and Charles Hayes and wife Jodi of WI; aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by sisters Doris Gorham and Helen Saunders. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday June 16, 2015 at 11 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St. in Gorham. Interment will be in the Wheeler Cemetery in Shelburne. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9 to 11 AM, prior to the service.
