Priscilla Gagne

Berlin, NH

Priscilla L. (Gaulin) Gagne, a lifelong resident of Western Avenue, passed away Friday Morning September 12, 2014 at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin following a period of declining heath. She was 77 years old.

Born on August 8, 1937 in Berlin, NH, she was the daughter of William and Marie Anne (Caouette) Gaulin.

She attended St. Joseph's School and was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church now St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.

On January 24, 1959, she married Robert Joseph Gagne at St. Joseph's Church in Berlin. They settled on Western Avenue where they raised their family. Together, they enjoyed 55 years of marriage.

She was devoted homemaker and in earlier years she worked as a stitcher at local shoe manufacturers including Converse Rubber Company and Bass Shoe Company.

Her past times included arts & crafts, knitting, & crocheting. She will be remembered for her Wednesday Night Family nights where family would gather for dinner and play board games.

Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by brothers Normand, Richard, Leo, & Raymond Gaulin and sisters Georgianna Hamel and Jeanne Croteau.

She leaves her loving husband of 55 years Robert Joseph Gagne of Berlin, Two sons Richard W. Gagne and wife Karen of Berlin and Steven R. Gagne and wife Shirley of Concord; Three grandchildren Jenny Gagne and companion Allen Ferren and her children Alexa Gagnon, Tytan McCarty, and Riley Ferren of Milan; Amanda Dubay and companion Dustin Bouchard and her children Jaelynn and Paige Bouchard all of Berlin; and Christopher Dubay of Berlin; two sisters Cecilia Nelson and her companion Stan of Berlin and Lillian Landry and husband Raymond of Stark, NH. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Funeral service will be held at 10am Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in the Parlor of Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. Her nephew Keith Hamel of Bethel, ME will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, September 15, 2014 at the funeral home.
