Phyllis R. Bryant

Phyllis R. (Roberts) Bryant, 90, of Concord, NH passed away on Sunday evening July 29, 2012 at the Havenwood Heights Nursing Home in Concord. She was born in Potsdam, NY on November 21, 1921 the daughter of the late Robert E. and Lois (Brown) Roberts. She graduated in 1943 from William Smith College in Geneva, NY and from Cornell University with an MA in 1946. She received her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) from Northeastern University. She taught in Warrensburg, NY, Wellesley, MA, Hudson, NH and lastly in Nashua, NH where she lived for 26 years. While working in Nashua, she was a teacher and was principal for 17 years for the Nashua School District. After her retirement, she moved to Punta Gorda, FL, where she and her husband lived for 26 years. Phyllis returned to New Hampshire in 2007. Members of the family include her son Edward R. Bryant and his companion, Cynthia Brundrett, of Newbury, NH; her daughter Jane Provencher and her husband Jim of Berlin, NH; a granddaughter Jessica Baker of and her husband Jesse E. Baker of Castro Valley, CA; 4 great grandchildren Bella, Wyatt, Cody and Gabby. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Edward C. Bryant in 2006. SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at 11AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the Bayside Cemetery in Potsdam, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
