Peter W. Brockett, 57, of Randolph, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday October 22, 2016 while biking. He was born in Hartford, CT on October 13, 1959 the son of Donald and Phyllis Brockett, lived in Shrewsbury, MA and graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1977. He graduated from the University of Maine at Orono in 1982 from the Mechanical Engineering Department. For the last 21 years, he lived in Randolph where he was active in the community. Peter had been employed by the Boise Cascade Mill in Rumford, ME, where he met his wife Laura. He later worked for James River in Oregon and New Hampshire, for Issacson Steel, and was currently employed by Brookfield Renewable Power as a Project Manager. Peters passion was being in the outdoors and sharing his enthusiasm with others. He was a natural coach and his life was a continuous pursuit of inspiring, teaching, and sharing his love of athletics and technique with everyone. Family includes his wife Laura (Lewis) Brockett of Randolph, NH; children Christopher L. Brockett Sarah V. Brockett of Randolph, NH; his mother Phyllis Brockett of Shrewsbury, MA; a brother David Brockett of Hampton, NH; a sister Elizabeth Brockett of Barrington, NH; nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather to share stories, memories and laughter that Peter brought to everyones lives on Saturday October 29, 2016 from 11 AM to 3 PM at Great Glen Trails on Rt 16. Donations in his memory may be made to the Coos Cycling Club, c/o Jason Hunter or to the Randolph Mountain Club, PO Box 279, Gorham, NH, 03581. The Bryant Funeral Home in Gorham is in charge of the arrangements.
