Pearl M. Chapman

Mrs. Pearl M. (Savard) Chapman, 75, of 66 Evans Street, Gorham, NH passed away on Friday evening Jan. 30, 2009 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. She was born in Island Pond, VT on July 19, 1933 the daughter of Albert and Yvonne (Goupee) Savard and has lived in Gorham, NH since 1957. She was a member of Holy Family Church, the Dupont-Holmes Post #82 American Legion Auxiliary and was also active with the Cub Scouts. Pearl was a graduate of Brighton High School in Island Pond, VT and she had also been a Rawleigh Products Distributor. Members of the family include four sons Charles Chapman of Gorham, NH, Chester Chapman of Woburn, MA, Michael Chapman of Berwin, Illinois and Kevin Chapman of Berlin, NH; a daughter Sheila Welch of Gorham, NH; a sister Rita Bouffard of Newport, VT; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph L. Chapman on June 21, 2007, by a son Ralph Chapman Jr., a sister Diana Malley and by a brother Raymond Savard. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning Feb. 4, 2009 at 11 AM at Holy Family Church, Gorham, NH. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
