Gorham, NH Paul Allen MacKay, age 75, a longtime resident of Jimtown Road in Gorham passed away Wednesday evening(September 26, 2012) at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, NH. Born on August 3, 1937, he was the son of Wallace and Maxine (Brown) MacKay. Paul grew up in Gorham and was a graduate of Gorham High School. He served two separate enlistments in the US Army and then the US Air Force. He was a member of the Gorham American Legion. In earlier years, he was employed by Seawood Construction and he retired from the Androscoggin State Park where he was able to use his woodworking skills. Over the years, he enjoyed spending time with his daughters & grandsons, scuba diving, woodworking, and gardening.

He is survived by his daughter Sarah Alyssa MacKay of Southampton, MA and his daughter Mandy Jo, her husband Scott Hess and their three sons Andrew, Alexander & Adam of Oxford, CT. Also, his brother, Stanford MacKay and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by his siblings Carlton, Clayton, Beudah, Gertrude, and Lucille. Calling hours will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm with funeral services to follow Wednesday October 3 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 33 Exchange Street, Gorham, NH.
