Oscar A. Bouchard, 83, of Milan, NH passed away in the early morning of July 13, 2015 at his home while in the loving care of his family. He was born in Berlin on December 29, 1931 the son of Eduarde and Alma (Vaillancourt) Bouchard and graduated from Notre Dame High School Class of 1950. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. His work history included Brown Company from 1957-1967 and the David Cookie and Lays Potato Chip Distributor in 1964. He also was the owner/operator of several local business including Bouchard, Isaacson, Morris Construction Company, Bouchard-Caron Building Center, Pinkham Notch Ski Shop, Sanborn Inn, White Street Carwash and Kellys Supermarket. He retired in 1994 as the Maintenance Supervisor of Milan Industries and Paul Valle Lumber. Oscar served with pride for 29 years in the National Guard retiring with the rank of Sergeant Major. He was an extremely industrious person, often holding multiple jobs at once. He would routinely work at the mill as a Night Watchman, worked of remodeling one of the many apartment buildings he owned. All in a days work. Throughout his construction career, he designed, built or remodeled many local churches, schools, fire stations, town halls, restaurants, car dealerships, homes and more. He volunteered as the Building Inspector for the Town of Milan, the Milan and Dummer Ambulance services and the Milan Old Home Days Committee. He enjoyed beginning his day with breakfast at the Milan Luncheonette and he was involved in the Milan Town meetings. He loved horses, gardening, building things for his grandchildren and spending time at home with family on his farm. Oscar was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, a member of the Androscoggin Valley Country Club and had been a volunteer at the Food Bank of St. Vincent de Paul. He is survived by his wife and best friend Gayle (Pageau) Bouchard of Milan, NH; children Nancy Leclerc- Davidson (William) of Sitka, AK, Linda Coffey (Brian) of Bartlett, NH; Dora Lavigne (Bob) of Hopkinton, NH and Dana Brouillette (Stacey Couture) of Milan, NH; a brother John Paul Bouchard (Rachelle) of Akers Pond, NH; sister-in-law Theresa Bouchard (Rene-deceased) of Nashua, NH; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren Laurel (Coffey) Smith and husband Andy and Lennon Claire of Wrentham, MA, Henri Leclerc and wife Sarah and Adeline Marie of Sitka, AK, Nicole Gagne of Hopkinton, NH, Michael Gagne and partner Ali Rowell of Concord, NH, Zack Binnette of Gorham, NH, Kelsey Davidson of Anchorage, AK, Amelia Coffey of Bartlett, NH, Jordon Brouillette of Conway, NH, Brady Brouillette of Gorham, NH, Josie Lavigne of Hopkinton, NH, Chase Brouillette of Milan, NH and Willow Brouillette of Milan, NH, many nieces, nephews and cousins and his extended family and friends at Sunflower Resort in Surprise, AZ. He was predeceased by brothers Rene Bouchard and Roland Bouchard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish on Friday July 17 at 1 PM. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan. There will be no calling hours. Donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
