Olivette M. Riendeau

June 15, 1936 — August 28, 2015

Berlin, NH

Olivette M. Riendeau of Hillsboro Street passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin following a period of declining health. She was 79 years young.

Born on June 15, 1936 in Berlin, NH, she was the daughter of Hormidas and Eleanore (Bourassa) Riendeau.

A lifelong resident of Berlin, she attended Guardian Angel School and was a communicant of Guardian Angel Parish now St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish.

She was employed by the Pot Luck Restaurant, which was owned by her brother Armand Riendeau, Converse Shoe and James River Corporation.

Her past times included hunting, fishing and playing cards, which also included a glass of J. Roget. She loved going to camp and spending time with nieces and nephews swimming in the pond. She also had a great love for any kind of animal which she would continuously feed, stray cats, dogs, raccoons, squirrels, deer and last, but not least, she would feed the cub bears Oreo cookies right out of her mouth. She reminded us of Ellie Mae Clampett from the Beverly Hillbilly's who also had a GREAT love for animals. She also liked to photograph all her animals and show everyone who would stop by for a visit.

Olivette was blessed with a BIG HEART and love for all.

Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by brothers Robert, Arthur, Armand, and her twin brother Oliva Riendeau and sister-in-law Bertha Riendeau.

She leaves behind her sister Stella Duchesne of Berlin; her brothers and sister in laws: Pauline Costa and partner Ernest Vienneau, Henri Riendeau and wife Lise, Pauline Riendeau, Claire Riendeau and Larry Riendeau and wife Rita all of Berlin. Several nieces and nephews especially her niece Helen Duchesne who cared for her for many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm Tuesday, September 1st at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Gorham.

Calling hours will be held 6:00pm-8:00pm Monday, August 31st and from 11:30am to 12:30pm Tuesday morning (prior to the Mass) at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.
