Normand J. Poulin

Berlin, NH Normand J. Poulin, 88, formerly of Enman Hill Road passed away on Sunday Evening, September 13, 2015 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital surrounded by family.

He was born in Waterville, ME on August 9, 1927, the son of William and Elizabeth (Shorty) Poulin.

Normand served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

On May 30, 1949 he married the love of his life Theresa Tremblay and together they raised seven children. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a lifelong communicant of Guardian Angel Parish now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. He was a member of many local groups including Knights of Columbus, Barber Shop Quartet, Holy Name Society, Church Choir and the VFW.

For much of his life he owned and operated several auto businesses. Prior to retirement he owned and operated East Mason Auto.

Normand enjoyed singing, dancing, gardening, traveling, spending winters in Florida, dining at local restaurants and most of all he loved being around family and friends, often hosting these events at his home.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by his loving wife Theresa who passed away in 2010; a brother Robert Poulin and a sister Pauline Albert.

He leaves behind sons, Paul Poulin and wife Patricia of Berlin, Leo Poulin and wife Linda of Berlin, Gerald Poulin and wife Lucie of Durham, NC; daughters, Claire Girouard and husband Henry of Albany, ME, Cecile Chaconas and husband Ted of Orinda, CA, Louise Belanger and husband Mark of Gorham, NH and Jeanne Lemoine and husband Kevin of Gorham, NH; brother Alfred 'Fred' Poulin and wife Marlene of Wesley Chapel, FL; 16 grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, Caryn, Catherine, Brian, Jeffrey, Sarah, Elizabeth, Rebekkah, Rachel, Erika, Nikolas, Amanda, Megan, Katelyn, Jessica; 12 great-grandchildren, William, Luke, Kennidy, Gracie, Cody, Alya, Brady, Boyd, Benjamin, Isaac, Mya and Emmanuel; a cousin Larry Roberge whom Normand thought of as a brother; many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish on Wednesday, September 16th at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St Kieran Cemetery, Berlin, NH.

Friends and relatives may call on the family on Tuesday, September 15th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and on Wednesday prior to Mass from 8:30am to 9:30am at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to The Good Shepherd Parish at 151 Emery Street, Berlin NH 03570 or to The St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts at PO Box 339, Berlin NH 03570
